J. Peterman to Style Smithsonian Apparel

The world’s largest museum’s archives and libraries will serve as inspiration for the retailer’s latest apparel collection.

NORTH AMERICA–The Smithsonian has tapped retailer J. Peterman to develop a collection of branded apparel.

Inspired by the “ultimate attic to explore,” J. Peterman will create a variety of items inspired by the historical resources found in the museum’s archives and libraries.

The Smithsonian Institute boasts over half a million miles of archival material and over 10 million digital records on American history and other subjects. The fashion collaboration is yet another progressive project for the historic center.
