Las Vegas is about to welcome the first official One Piece Café, a celebration of the famous anime, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year

While pop-ups and activations devoted to “One Piece” have sprouted up all over the world, it was a partnership between restaurateur, Andy Nguyen, of Greatness and Toei Animation that led to the creation of the first official One Piece Café set to land in Las Vegas, the world’s entertainment capital.

“We can’t think of a better location for the One Piece Café than right here in Las Vegas,” says Andy Nguyen, founder, Greatness. “Bringing to life one of the world’s most famous anime franchises and marrying it with one of my greatest passions – food – is a dream come true. Our hope is to bring folks together at the café to celebrate what ‘One Piece’ represents: camaraderie, friendship, the promise of adventure and a delicious journey for all.”

“We’re thrilled to launch the ‘One Piece’ Café, a one-of-a-kind location-based culinary experience created by Greatness,” says Jennifer Yang, senior manager, licensing, Toei Animation. “Now, anime fans from around the world will have a special reason to visit Las Vegas – to enjoy ‘One Piece’ like never before and dine on iconic food recreations and special culinary inventions inspired by the franchise and its characters. It’s time to set sail for the One Piece Café!”

The 2,000-square-foot One Piece Café will depict the series protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, and his Straw Hat Crew on their epic high-seas quest to find the ultimate treasure, “The One Piece.”

Fans can look forward to a chef-driven menu inspired by the series characters’ favorite foods, from Japanese Fruit Sando and Zoro’s Onigiri to Tajio’s Beef Curry and a Mighty Meats Pirates Platter. Sweet things are in store when it comes to the bounty of desserts, including Stretchy Mochi Cookies, which come in flavors of mango, strawberry, ube and matcha (which stretch just like Luffy’s superpower), along with Big Mom’s Wedding Cake, a three-tiered cake with layers of strawberry, chocolate and ube. Another confection fans might appreciate and readily recognize is Gum-Gum Fruit Mousse Bomb, a vanilla sponge cake in a white chocolate shell adorned with fresh fruit.

Rounding out the menu will be an array of beverages, from a Mikan Tangerine Slushy and “Pumpkin Juice,” with pumpkin, coconut, apple and garam masala to the “All Blue Mocktail,” a blue-pea flower and oolong tea and “Franky’s Coke-a-Cola Ice Cream Float.”

The café will also offer exclusive merch, including tees, sweaters, hats and more.

Grand opening festivities will kick off May 11 with special character appearances by Luffy and Zoro, along with special giveaways.
