Thomas Town Shinmisato, the first indoor Thomas-themed amusement facility in Japan opens its doors this weekend at the birthplace of the Japanese railway industry.The attraction is the result of a deal between HIT Entertainment and Pleasurecat, the attractions division of Bandai.
Thomas Town Shinmisato covers 772-square-meters in the new Lalaport Shin Misato shopping center and is located on the site of the former Musashino Railway Shunting Yard, some 45 minutes from Tokyo Station. Thomas Town has five themed zones including an English Market Place, the venue for themed events such as mini live stage shows and carnival events, as well as a Thomas retail shop with both imported and exclusive Thomas Town merchandise.
