MTV Networks International is taking its slate of entertainment formats to Discop East 2009, held in Budapest this week, for the first time, along with new programming for international distribution spanning the kids, comedy, reality, game show, music and documentary genres.The slate includes shows from channels MTV, Nickelodeon, Spike, VH1, Comedy Central and BET. Highlights from the portfolio include sports competition format, "Pros v Joes" (Spike), hidden camera shows "Boiling Points" (MTV) and "Motormouth" (VH1) together with dating formats with a twist, "Room Raiders" (MTV) and "Hell Date" (BET).
Making its debut at Discop East 2009 for international distribution is "The Penguins of Madagascar," 104x15. Also new to the market are entertainment series, "Nitro Circus," 13x30, and "Important Things with Demetri Martin," 7x30.
Returning international series "SpongeBob SquarePants" (in its sixth season), "South Park" (in its 13th season) and "Dora The Explorer," 112x30, along with appointment-to-view specials including the "MTV Europe Music Awards 2009," 1x120, and "The American Mall," 1x92, a movie-musical.
