Children's and young adult entertainment producer Dolphin Entertainment has six new feature films planned, all backed by Continental Entertainment Capital.The first film to be produced Soul Surfer - The Bethany Hamilton Story features the true story about the female surfer who lost her arm in a shark attack and the obstacles she has overcome.
CEC will finance the production, prints and advertising costs for the six properties.
Dolphin Entertainment is an independent production and sales company, which currently supplies programming such as "Zoey 101" and "Roxy Hunter" for Nickelodeon. Most recently, Dolphin partnered with Nickelodeon on the Sept. 12 premiere of TV movie "Gym Teacher," starring Chris Meloni ("Law and Order: SVU") and Nathan Kress ("iCarly").
