Festivities for Hello Kitty's 35th anniversary begin next month in London. Sanrio has planned a European tour for the character, featuring events, parties and product launches.The birthday tour will include:
A tour of Hello Kitty's hometown in London, including a British high tea party and fashion show at Sketch. Sanrio president Kunihiko Tsuji will open the event.
Designer Yuko Yamaguchi will showcase and sign her artwork at Harrods in London. She will also appear at Gallery Lafayette in Paris, Camomilla in Milan and Sanrio's Noguera in Barcelona. Yamaguchi will also talk to students at London's Central Saint Martins school.
