'X-Factor' Inspires Line of Tech Accessories

Fremantle’s hit singing competition to appear on line of karaoke machines, headphones and more.

EUROPE–FremantleMedia and Wilton Bradley have partnered for a new line of personal tech accessories featuring the singing competition “The X-Factor” in the U.K.

The new line from Wilton Bradley will include karaoke microphones, karaoke machines, headphones and speakers that will hit retail over the next three years.

Artists discovered by the “The X Factor” in the U.K. have sold more than 300 million records worldwide, making it the most successful show in history for finding musical talent.

Wilton Bradley will showcase their 2018 range of “The X Factor” karaoke microphones and machines at the Hong Kong, London and Nuremberg Toy Fairs early next year.

“The whole karaoke microphone category has taken off this year,” says Caroline High, senior licensing manager hardlines, FremantleMedia. “So, the timing of this deal with ‘The X Factor’ is perfect, and I can’t imagine a better partnership in this category.”
