WBCP U.K. Gets New Leader

John Stanley, senior vice president and managing director of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group for the U.K., Ireland, Spain and the Nordics, will take on overall leadership of Warner Bros. Digital Distribution U.K. and Warner Bros. Consumer Products U.K., in addition to his existing responsibilities.

Under Stanley’s leadership, Warner Bros. has consistently delivered above-market growth performance in its home entertainment and games businesses at retail.

Stanley joined Warner Bros. in February 2007 as managing director of Warner Home Video U.K. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at Twentieth Century Fox.

“In this well-deserved appointment, John’s new broader remit reflects our commitment to cross-category selling, a concept that he has spearheaded to tremendous success over the years,” says Josh Berger, president and managing director, Warner Bros. U.K., Ireland & Spain, to whom Stanley will continue to report. “With our products being increasingly sold across many different platforms, John is well-positioned to maximize the sales of our key franchises in one joined-up operation.”
