Warner Bros. will return to Brand Licensing Europe this year with a licensing lineup of heroic proportions, highlighted by new offerings for DC Comics franchises including Batman and Superman.
Following the success of Man of Steel the studio is planning a follow-up film that will feature not just Superman, but Batman as well. The movie is planned for release in summer 2015 and will be the first time the two superheroes appear together on the big screen.
2014 will be another big year for tent pole films with the launch of Godzilla (May 2014) and the final movie in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit Trilogy with The Hobbit: There and Back Again (December 2014).
WB Studio’s television properties will also provide major commercial opportunities for visitors to the show as preparations are made for the 20th anniversary of “Friends” in 2014 and the U.S. sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” continues to top TV ratings and make waves at retail.
Additionally, the latest installment in the Batman Arkham video game series, an all-new animated series “Beware The Batman” and the comedy-action show, “Teen Titans GO” will also receive top billing by WBCP at BLE this year, as well as its DC Hello Kitty partnership with Sanrio.
Finally, WBCP will also highlight its raft of classic properties including Scooby-Doo, Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry and iconic movies such as The Wizard of Oz, which celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2014.
