Walmart Canada and Procter & Gamble have launched a series of mobile stores at 50 bus shelters across Toronto, Canada, to give consumers a chance to shop for health and beauty essentials while commuting.
The mobile stores, which will run for four weeks, feature posters of popular Procter & Gamble baby, beauty and personal care products. Customers can scan QR codes from their mobile device and order select items–including diapers, mascara, shampoo and toothpaste–directly from the bus shelter.
"Walmart is proud to be a destination for everyday essentials at everyday low prices," says Simon Rodrigue, vice-president of e-commerce, Walmart Canada. "We know that our customers are increasingly pressed for time, and this campaign allows us to help Torontonians shop for essentials on the go, anywhere, at any time. Whether in our stores or online at Walmart.ca, we're committed to delivering a fast and easy shopping experience for our customers."
In addition to the items available for purchase through the mobile stores, there are currently more than 2,000 P&G items available on Walmart.ca with new items being added regularly.
"P&G is committed to improving the lives of our consumers,” says Katie Elder, brand manager, P&G. “Now that our products are available at Walmart.ca, they can have Pantene and other essentials delivered right to their doorstep."
