VIMN Promotes NVCP Execs

 

Viacom International Media Networks has announced two new promotions in its Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products division–Ron Johnson has been appointed as executive vice president, NVCP, and Mark Kingston has been promoted to general manager and senior vice president, NVCP EMEA & Australia.

In his new role, Johnson will lead all of Viacom's international consumer products operations spanning retail, operations, creative development, licensing, recreation, promotions and marketing. 

Johnson first joined NVCP in 2010 as senior vice president of Walmart retail development. Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Johnson was vice president/general manager of the global Walmart team at Disney. He began his career at Procter & Gamble and also served as president and chief executive officer of Classic Foods.

Ron's expertise in global retail will prove invaluable in his new position, as we deepen and form new partnerships with retailers and licensees around the world and build on the strong momentum that we are seeing in our CP business."

Kingston is currently serving as vice president of retail sales and trade marketing for the U.K., Australia, Russia, Israel and Central and Eastern Europe.

As part of his newly expanded role, Kingston will add oversight of VIMN consumer products in the rest of Europe as well as the Middle East and Africa to his current responsibilities, in a move to more closely align NVCP’s consumer products teams. 

Kingston joined NVCP in 2011 from The Walt Disney Company, where he served as business unit director, responsible for all aspects of the licensed and vertical business at Tesco. Prior to that, Kingston worked at BBC Worldwide and Masterfoods, a division of Mars U.K.
