Since Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is planning two new games and full toy line for its boys property Invizimals.
Since first appearing in a PlaystationPortable game in 2009, the property, which is centered on a group of tiny creatures made of pure energy that live all around us, has been steadily gaining steam.
Now Sony is planning two new games for the property–“Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom” for on Playstation3 and “Invizimals: The Alliance” for Playstation Vita–both of which are set to launch in October.
The brand will also be in the first-ever augmented reality cartoon series. Developed in partnership with BRB Internacional, the show was unveiled at MIPJunior last year.
A global master toy partner for the brand will be announced at Brand Licensing Europe in October.
“The popularity of the games and the innovative use of technology has created unprecedented demand for new Invizimals content and official merchandise,” says David Evans, European licensing manager, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. “Licensees and retailers are looking for the next licensing phenomenon for boys and Invizimals is poised to make a massive impact in this highly lucrative commercial space. Invizimals is emerging as our hero consumer products program for boys.”
