Sony Adds New Agents

Sony Pictures Consumer Products has appointed two new agents for its film and television properties in Italy, France, Australia and New Zealand.

Effective immediately, CPLG will represent the company for merchandising, retail and publishing in Italy and France, while Merchantwise will oversee Australia and New Zealand.

Among the properties included in the deal are the upcoming films Goosebumps (out August 2015) and Hotel Transylvania 2 (out October 2015), the TV series “Breaking Bad” and the prequel spin-off “Better Call Saul,” as well as the company’s classic television and film rosters and other upcoming Sony Pictures Television releases.

“We are excited to align with CPLG with their history of successfully working with studios and incredible market knowledge in France and Italy,” says Greg Economos, senior vice president, global consumer products, SPCP. “Merchantwise brings their exciting creative and thorough approach to our brands across Australia, one of our biggest markets. It will be a very exciting time for us on the film and television fronts and we are very glad to have these agencies join our CP family.”
