Silicon Valley Execs Join Roblox Team

Jennifer Hedding, Daniel Williams and Matt Kaufman will scale the staff and product that supports the gaming platform. 

NORTH AMERICA–The social gaming platform Roblox has tapped three former Silicon Valley executives–Jennifer Hedding, Daniel Williams and Matt Kaufman–to join its senior staff. 

Hedding joins Roblox has chief people officer. In her new role, she will be responsible for the community of people who build, support and develop on the Roblox platform. She will also ensure the voices are represented both within and outside of the company. 

Prior to Roblox, Hedding served as senior vice president of human resources for Hewlett Packard Enterprises. During her tenure, she spearheaded unprecedented growth throughout the global corporation. She also served in senior HR leadership positions at Salesforce.com, Applied Biosystems and Apple. 

Meanwhile, Williams has taken on the role of vice president of corporate and production engineer, which will see him lead the evolution of Roblox’s social platform infrastructure to support its growing community. 

Before Roblox, Williams held various senior leadership positions at Dropbox, the San Francisco 49ers and Facebook. During his time with Faebook, he played an instrumental role in building and scaling the company’s network infrastructure systems to support the company’s meteoric growth from 10 million to 750 million monthly active users. 

Finally, Kaufman has signed on as the company’s vice president of product for platform. He will be responsible for directing the company’s overall strategic vision or discovery, monetization, international expansion and kid safety. 

In his previous position at Crunchbase, Kaufman was responsible for the company’s strategic vision, built partnerships and assembled a team that executed a spinout from AOL. He also held various executive roles leading engineering and product management teams at companies like Oodle, Edgeio and There.com.
