The app features three interactive, birthday-themed games, as well as activities that let kids decorate for Clifford’s party and participate in the big surprise party reveal.
“For 50 years, Clifford’s humor, joy and kindness have entertained and inspired generations of readers,” says Deborah Forte, president, Scholastic Media and executive vice president, Scholastic. “We’re proud to offer his fans a big, interactive media experience worthy of this milestone.”
Each game reinforces the language skills needed for early readers, and the app also includes a section for parents with educational information and suggestions for extending the learning outside of the app.
“Clifford's Big Birthday” is available now for iOS devices in the Apple iOS App Store.
Scholastic will officially kick off a year of 50th anniversary celebrations with the Biggest Birthday Party Ever event Monday.
