Zodiak Kids has named Scholastic as the North American master publishing partner for its preschool show “Tickety Toc.”
The deal was brokered by the brand’s U.S. licensing agent, Established Brands, and Canadian licensing agent, Studio Licensing.
Scholastic is now planning a range that will include storybooks, board books, story-based sticker books, novelty books and e-books.
The first titles will launch in both the U.S. and Canada in spring 2014.
“We are thrilled by the opportunity to create a fun and unique publishing program around the rich world of Tickety Toc and its endearing characters,” says Gayley Avery, director of licensed publishing, Scholastic Trade.
“Tickety Toc” currently airs on Nick Jr. in the U.S. and Disney Junior in Canada. The consumer products program will launch in North America this fall, led by master toy partner Just Play and home entertainment partner Anchor Bay Entertainment.
“There are very exciting times ahead for Tickety Toc, and we are delighted to be partnering with Scholastic, a leading publisher with a long and successful track-record in the industry,” says Janice Lam, vice president of licensing, the Americas, Zodiak Rights.
