Sanrio has announced a new collaboration with Minnetonka for two Hello Kitty moccasin collections, one for kids and one for women.
“We celebrate a major milestone this year with Hello Kitty’s 40th anniversary, and our collaboration with Minnetonka plays an integral part in the celebration,” says David Marchi, senior director, brand management and marketing, Sanrio. “Fusing the classic moccasin styles of Minnetonka with the iconic designs of Hello Kitty, the new collection will resonate with fans of both brands.”
Both collections will feature a moccasin style as well as a fringe ankle boot and will debut at retail in July.
“Fall ‘14 trends are favoring fringe, as well as pop art, so we believe that the Minnetonka for Hello Kitty collections will be a unique combination that will really excite both Minnetonka and Hello Kitty fans of all ages,” says Kalyn Waters, director of marketing, Minnetonka.
