Warner Bros. Consumer Products has tapped Ruckus Media Group to bring e-books featuring characters such as Justice League, Scooby-Doo and Superman to mobile markets in the U.S. and Canada.
Beginning this month with a selection of seasonal titles, Ruckus will offer digital downloads of more than 100 Read-Along titles featuring Batman, DC Super Friends, Justice League, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Superman, Tom and Jerry and The Wizard of Oz.
“Warner Bros. Consumer Products recognizes the importance of stories that engage and entertain kids of all ages,” says Karen McTier, executive vice president of domestic licensing and worldwide marketing, WBCP. “We are excited to partner with Ruckus Media and join their family friendly mobile platform to offer kids and their parents our timeless characters and stories.”
Ruckus titles download directly to mobile devices (eliminating the need for continuous WiFi) and offer parents feedback on their child’s reading experience including time spent and amount read.
“We’re thrilled to expand our content offering to include an array of high-quality Warner Bros. stories,” says Jason Root, chief executive officer, Ruckus Media Group. “These are some of the best-loved characters in children’s entertainment, and we are proud to help share them with today’s on-the-go mobile families.”
