Rainbow Highlights Girls’ Brands

Rainbow has brought two of its top girls’ brands to Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, Nev., this week–Winx Club and Mia and me.

Winx Club, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year is comprised of 156 animated episodes and two feature-length movies that mix 2D animation and CGI. The series follows the adventures of a group of young fairies with a seventh season currently in production. A third movie is also in production and will hit cinemas across the world this September. The brand already has more than 500 licensees on board globally across a multitude of categories and more than 6,000 products developed. Rainbow is currently looking to build on this success by expanding the property into less conventional sectors such as Winx Club-themed holidays and experiences.

Rainbow is also showcasing Mia and me, an award-winning co-production with Lucky Punch that chronicles the adventures of Mia in the magical land of Centopia and mixes live-action with CGI animation. The show currently airs in more than 80 territories and Mattel has recently signed up as global master toy licensee.
