Brand manager PGS Entertainment has announced plans to launch a global licensing program for the Jungle Bunch franchise.
The brand, which features an array of comedic animal characters such as Maurice, the penguin who thinks he’s a tiger, was launched as an animated movie from Tat Productions and is now being developed into a TV series.
As pre-sales of the series, as well as sales of the original movie, continue to grow, PGS is planning to launch a full licensing program for the new property.
“The level of interest we’ve received from around the world speaks to the quality of this exceptional franchise,” says Guillaume Soutter, co-founder and head of international sales, PGS. “'Jungle Bunch' is high-end, family animation at its finest. The hilariously lovable characters have already captured the imaginations of leading toy companies, so we have launched a global licensing initiative and are currently reviewing all potential merchandising partners.”
The upcoming series, “The Jungle Bunch–To The Rescue!” has already been pre-sold to broadcasters in France, Germany, Flemish-speaking Belgium, Sweden, Israel and Thailand.
