For the past two years, Performance Brands has worked with a select number of licensees to create luxury brand products inspired by the iconic sports car Aston Martin, which Harrods is now showcasing in its exclusive Silver Room.
The Grant MacDonald Silver by Aston Martin collection is just one of the lines now available. Designed by the London-based silversmith, the collection consists of handcrafted contemporary products including a sterling silver champagne cooler and champagne flutes.
Ford has also added a slew of new licensees in gaming, apparel, toys and electronics accessories.
Natural Motion recently released the mobile game “CSR” and deals have been secured with Codemasters for new console games based on the car franchise including “Dirt Showdown” and “Grid 2.”
Shantou Public Models, Kidztech and Ital Trading have all signed on to make various ranges of Ford toys and Fashion Lab has come on board in a three-year deal as the franchise’s apparel licensee in the U.K. and Ireland. The Fashion Lab initial range will feature graphic t-shirts with images of Ford cars from the ‘70s including the Cortina, Consul, Capri and Sierra as well as classic American cars such as the Ford Gran Torino, Marauder, Thunderbird and Mercury.
Another deal with global telecommunications brand Fonexion is in the final stages and will see the development of mobile phone and computer accessories featuring the Ford GT40 and Ford Thunderbird trademarks.
