Perry Ellis International has inked a deal with Flyers Group for Original Penguin brand boys’ and girls’ apparel in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The Original Penguin line will be presented as a premium kidswear brand targeting boys and girls ages 0 to 15 across high-end department stores, premium stores, independent boutiques and online retailers beginning in spring 2015.
"Every now and then a brand comes along that generates a real frisson of excitement through the company, from the design team through to the warehouse,” says Boo Jalil, chief executive officer and president, Flyers Group. “We just love the way Penguin combines a 1950s vintage feel with a sense of humor, while still remaining classic. Our goal is to make sure that the love of Original Penguin for a whole new generation starts when they are very young."
The lines will include outerwear, t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, jeans, trousers, shorts, dresses, skirts and specific baby items such as sleepwear and rompers.
