Redibra is taking on the Brazilian children’s property Galinha Pintadinha.
The brand began as a series of YouTube episodes from Bromelia Productions that have garnered 1 billion views, 170 million in Spanish markets.
In the U.S., where the brand is known as Lottie Dottie Chicken, the property has already sold more than $220 million at retail with 60-plus licensees on board to date.
Categories include tablets, DVD players, toys, publishing, apparel, footwear, personal care, party goods, school supplies, food, home and bedding from licensees such as C&A, Danone, Grendene, Lupo, Melhoramentos and more.
Redibra is showcasing the brand this week in its Brazilian Brands booth at Licensing Expo, in Las Vegas, Nev.
