‘Licensing 101’ session will feature an overview of the industry and a Sesame Workshop case study.
Senior licensing executives Jessica Blue of UBM Americas and Will DePippo of Sesame Workshop will host a session on brand licensing basics at New York Toy Fair this Saturday.
Blue is the senior vice president of licensing at UBM Americas (organizer of Licensing Expo and Brand Licensing Europe) and DePippo is the assistant director of global consumer products at Sesame Workshop.
The session, “Licensing 101,” will take place at the Javits Center Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in level 1, Hall 1E, room 1E09.
During the presentation, Blue will provide an overview of how licensing works, while DePippo will share the Sesame Workshop story and their licensing journey.
The presentation will launch the Toy Industry Association’s five-session Licensing Content Connection at New York Toy Fair, which is presented by UBM Americas.

- “How to Evaluate a License” panel presented by LIMA on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
- “Staying Ahead of the Curve” presented by LIMA on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
- “Positioning Your Licensed Toys & Characters for the Preschool Market” presented by Karen Raugust, author, The Licensing Business Handbook and Ira Mayer, former publisher and executive editor, The Licensing Letter and Youth Market Alerts on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
- “How Entertainment Media Licenses Help Drive Toy Sales” presented by Tony Lisanti, global editorial director, License Global.
