Nick Expands Its Reach

 

Viacom International Media Networks is expanding its coverage across Central and Eastern Europe in a new distribution partnership signed with RCS-RDS, and has signed a slew of new international broadcast deals for its top animation properties.

The new deal with RCS-RDS will expand and broaden VIMN's coverage and fan base in CEE through channels that will include Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.

Additionally, international broadcasters have signed multiple deals for three of Nickelodeon’s most popular animations: “Kung Fu Panda,” “Penguins of Madagascar” and “Monsters vs Aliens.” New broadcast deals include:

  • In the Asia Pacific, Taiwan’s Eastern Broadcasting Asia has picked up season three of “Kung Fu Panda” and “Penguins of Madagascar” and season one of “Monsters vs Aliens.”
  • In Thailand, Medialink Entertainment has picked up 26 episodes of “Kung Fu Panda” season two.
  • In Latin America, Bolivia’s ATB has signed on for season three of “Kung Fu Panda” and season one of “ Monsters vs Aliens” while Uruguay’s Canal 10 has signed on for season one of  “Monsters vs Aliens” and “Penguins of Madagascar.”
  • In Ecuador, Teleamazonas has picked up seasons one and two of “Kung Fu Panda” and season three of “Penguins of Madagascar.”
  • In Europe, Ireland’s public service broadcaster RTE and Italian kids' broadcaster Boing have signed on for season two of “Kung Fu Panda” and season three of “Penguins of Madagascar.” 
  • In Iceland, 365 Media has renewed its contract to air “Penguins of Madagascar” seasons one and two.  
  • In New Zealand, national public service broadcaster TVNZ has added season two of “Kung Fu Panda” and seasons two and three of “Penguins of Madagascar.”
  • In Africa, Atlantic Pictures has picked up season two of “Kung Fu Panda,” while Markiza in Slovakia has nabbed all three seasons of the series.
