And when the new 3D series airs, the audience’s affection for the brand will grow even bigger.”
Grand Toys has signed on as master toy licensee for the brand and is developing a full range of toys and games.
The first range will launch this fall and include plush, a play set, figurines, vehicles (from IMC), wooden toys and infant products. The toy release coincides with the re-run of the classic TV show “The Adventures of May the Honeybee” on the Karusel channel across Russia.
A bigger toys and games range will follow in 2013 to support the release of the new Maya 3D series, also on Karusel, which will begin airing in March 2013.
Master publisher Egmont will develop a book range that will include activity books and magazines, hitting shelves early in 2013.
And finally, Chupa Chups will create Maya lollipops, chocolate balls with surprises and fruit jellies, also available in early 2013.
