Marvel Entertainment continues to build the licensing program for its 2014 film Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy with the addition of Jay Franco for home décor.
Jay Franco will develop an extensive line of bedding, pillows, bath accessories and beach products inspired by Marvel’s next film franchise. The line will launch at retail in summer 2014.
“This relationship will help bring Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy into fans’ homes in a variety of ways,” says Paul Gitter, senior vice president, licensing, Marvel, Disney Consumer Products. “Jay Franco’s vision for the brand and strong distribution strategy will further maximize the presence of Guardians at retail and present the franchise in refreshing new ways that will engage our fan base.”
Jay Franco joins a long list of licensees already lined up for the film, which include Hasbro, Disguise, C-Life, Mad Engine and Sideshow Collectibles.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will hit theaters Aug. 1, 2014.
