LIMA Seeks Speakers for Educational Programs

Industry members will have until Dec. 15 to submit their proposals for the 2018 programming series.

GLOBAL–The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association is requesting industry experts to participate as speakers in its lineup of professional programming–including webinars, seminars and roundtable discussions, as well as the Licensing University program.

LIMA’s educational speaking engagements provide experts across licensing, retail, advertising, marketing and beyond the opportunity to share their expertise with other decision-makers throughout the industry–including studio executives, top IP owners, professional sports organizations, licensing agencies and more.

“Our educational programs taking place around the world foster professional connections across multiple industries that can lead to long-lasting, business-enhancing strategic partnerships,” says Charles Riotto, president, LIMA. “Each year, we enlist top experts in their field to lead discussions that provide the industry with the knowhow to best position their companies and brands for optimal growth. At the same time, it is an ideal opportunity for leaders in many different areas of business to showcase their expertise and gain valuable visibility.”

Previous educational programs have focused on a robust assortment of topics, ranging from case studies on emerging brands to identifying opportunities in growth markets such as India and China. Other topics have included location-based programming, food and beverage branding, managing an overnight sensation and more.

Furthermore, LIMA is seeking potential speakers to submit session topics for its annual Licensing University program, which takes place during Licensing Expo, May 22-24, 2018, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev. Areas of interested for the 2018 sessions include: case studies on product/property introductions and brand extensions; retail strategies and trends; digital marketing strategies; social media strategies; forward-looking sessions on growth categories and markets; maximizing emerging media platforms; and globalization.
