The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association is poised to raise $4 million for the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation through its current LIMA Cares campaign.
On April 17, LIMA is encouraging its members to participate online by tweeting about CBTF. Companies and individuals can also purchase a tribute ad in the official program of the LIMA Awards Ceremony, which will take place June 18 during Licensing Expo 2013 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Funds raised by LIMA benefit the CBTF Tissue Consortium, a research effort by doctors from four hospitals to accumulate, analyze and evaluate treatments of all pediatric brain tumor types.
LIMA hopes to raise an additional $5 million toward these efforts in the next five years.
