Joyrich unveiled its new Betty Boop-inspired fashion line Friday, created in collaboration with King Features Syndicate.
Inspired by the American icon and sex symbol, the range features modern clothes with a retro edge and features Betty Boop images and patterns. Among the products that will be available at launch are t-shirts, hoodies, cardigans, denim, bottoms, tote bags, a snapback and a branded knit scarf.
The range will be part of Joyrich’s fall/winter 2013 collection, available at select stores in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York City and Atlanta, as well as online at Nasty Gal and Dolls Kills.
“King Features prides itself on managing an extensive portfolio of classic and timeless characters that are endeared by consumers around the globe,” says David Golzman, domestic licensing manager, King Features. “Like Joyrich, we are always looking for collaborations that creatively modernize these icons and this partnership allows both parties to provide consumers with a fun, chic line that will appeal to Betty Boop fans and fashionistas of every generation.”
