Imperial War Museums is preparing for the Centenary of the First World War, which will begin in 2014 and continue through 2018, by presenting a range of opportunities for licensees and retailers at Brand Licensing Europe this week.
IWM is leading more than 1,650 organizations across the world in the creation of a program of cultural events, activities and digital activations in honor of the anniversary.
The IWM booth will feature a sampling of the museum’s archive of First World War assets. Licensees will have access to posters and graphic arts, film, letters, diaries, photographs, paintings and sculpture.
IWM is also presenting opportunities for its exhibition in 2015, “Fashion on the Ration: 1940s street style,” which focuses on the “make-do and mend” phenomena of the time period and presents a variety of opportunities for extensions in apparel, accessories, toys, games, food and beverages.
