Imira Entertainment has sold seasons one and two of “Larva,” the Korean animation it recently acquired from Tuba Entertainment, to broadcasters in Europe and Latin America.
Cartoon Network Latin America and Noga in Israel have taken both seasons, while France’s Canal+ and Toon TV in Scandinavia will broadcast season two.
The 3D, CGI series is a slapstick, non-dialogue comedy that revolves around short vignettes from the lives of Red and Yellow, two sewer-dwelling worms.
“‘Larva’ is a strong property with a broad appeal and humor that transgresses cultural boundaries, which is no doubt a major factor in its universal popularity. We are thrilled to have signed deals across key territories with such a high caliber of broadcasters,” says Sergi Reitg, chief executive officer, Imira Entertainment.
