HIT Entertainment has appointed Michael Carrington to the newly created position of head of content and production in its global brands division.
Based in London, Michael will be responsible for developing all content for existing HIT brands as well as developing new properties, alongside HIT Brands’ executive producer Marion Edwards.
“Michael has a great passion for and unprecedented track record in nurturing talent and developing engaging programming for children,” says Edward Catchpole, senior vice president, HIT Entertainment. “HIT’s brand portfolio will benefit hugely from his experience, which, combined with Marion’s expertise in developing highly successful preschool properties, will make them a winning team.”
Carrington joins HIT from Turner Broadcasting where he headed up the EMEA kids’ content team. Prior to his time at Turner, he was controller of CBeebies and developed some of their most successful preschool brands.
