The Jim Henson Company has secured a raft of new international broadcast and home entertainment agreements across Asia Pacific, Europe and Canada for its slate of TV series and feature films.
As it gears up for the Asia Television Forum and Asia Animation Summit in December, the company has made a series of sales in Hong Kong. TVB has acquired the two children’s preschool series “Doozers” as well as “Pajanimals” and the second season of “Sid the Science Kid,” while PCCW has taken home video and digital broadcast rights for “Pajanimals.”
In Australia, Beyond has secured digital and home video rights for “Doozers” and Regency Media/Shock has acquired the digital and home video rights for “The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss.”
In Germany, Filmverlag has picked up digital and home video rights for “Farscape,” and Nelonen will air “Fraggle Rock” and the film Labyrinth in Finland Connelly.
Finally, in Canada, educational television service TVO has acquired season three of “Dinosaur Train,” the French-language network TVA will air “Pajanimals” and Labyrinth, and Canada’s public broadcaster Knowledge will broadcast “Pajanimals.”
