Licensees for HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” including Funko, Dark Horse and Factory Entertainment, used Comic-Con last week to showcase new product lines for the fantasy drama.
Funko released a Comic-Con exclusive version of its Ned Stark Pop! figurine, with a removable head that is held on by two magnets.
Factory Entertainment gave visitors the first look at its line of plush, which will debut in the fourth quarter of this year with three 8-inch Direwolf cubs. A three-eyed raven and dragon egg plush will follow in early 2014.
Dark Horse Comics has added to its line of collectibles with 7.5-inch non-articulated figures of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen. Prototypes of the figures were unveiled at Comic-Con and are slated for release in January 2014, with additional figures of Tyrion Lannister, Khal Drogo and Ned Stark following in May 2014 and five more planned for the summer.
Insight Editions showed of its new hardcover book, Game of Thrones: A PopUp Guide to Westeros, which features five spreads that fold out to create a full map of Westeros. The book is set to arrive on shelves in March 2014.
4D Cityscape highlighted its 4D puzzle map of Westeros, which gives fans a chance to build the Seven Kingdoms complete with miniatures models of Westeros cities and castles. The puzzle will hit retail this November.
