FremantleMedia has announced a number of new licensees for its TV and fashion brands in France.
The new deals will expand on current ranges for the TV brands L’Amour est dans le Pré (Farmer Wants a Wife), Miami Ink, LA Ink and Questions Pour Un Champion (Going For Gold), as well as the fashion brand Rebecca Bonbon.
Fremantle is planning a new range of products aimed at the wedding market for “L’Amour est dans le Pré (Farmer Wants A Wife).” With a particular focus on table decorations, the new collection will hit shelves in France this spring.
The company is also planning new ranges for the reality shows “Miami Ink” and “LA Ink.” French retailer GIFI has signed a direct-to-retail deal for products bearing some of the show’s most popular tattoo images. The line will include tattoo transfers, ashtrays, photo albums, shopping bags, t-shirts, shoe racks, home decoration and bed linens.
Publishing house Larousse is planning the new title Questions Pour Un Champion/ Going For Gold Training Book later this month, in an extension of its long-term deal with FremantleMedia. The book, targeted to high school students preparing for their baccalauréat, will test students’ knowledge across multiple topics with games and activities.
Finally, Rebecca Bonbon, the French bulldog created by the original Hello Kitty designer Yuko Shimizu, continues to grow in the country. A new deal with Embassy will add a spring/summer range of girl’s pajamas to the roster, which already includes more than 15 licensees in apparel, footwear, bags, stationery, bedding, mobile covers, luggage and restaurant promotions. Other recently signed licensees include Kid Abord (bags and stationery) and Zifel (luggage). FremantleMedia France is currently looking for a publishing partner for this brand.
