Entertainment One has unveiled a raft of U.K. partners for its upcoming animated feature, Justin and the Knights of Valour.
Created in partnership with Kandor Graphics, the film follows a young boy’s quest to become a knight and boasts a voice cast that includes Antonio Banderas, Julie Walters, Rupert Everett and David Walliams.
Licensed merchandise will launch in conjunction with the film’s Sept. 13 premiere with wide distribution across a range of U.K. retailers.
Among the product included in the program are t-shirts from Blues Clothing exclusively for George at Asda; jigsaw puzzles from RMS exclusively for The Entertainer; limited edition art prints from Art You Grew Up With; activity and coloring books from Alligator Books; sticker packs from Paper Projects; and branded activity pages, posters and cover mounts in Kennedy Publishing’s children’s magazine titles Kraze Club and Busy Time.
The licensing program will be bolstered by promotions with Little Chef restaurants and the national children’s play center chain Wacky Warehouse.
“Courageous tales of knights, wizards and dragons will always be popular with young boy, and the film has all the ingredients to make it a hit with families,” says Hannah Mungo, head of U.K. licensing, eOne. “Licensees signed to date have recognized the commercial potential of the property and we’re delighted to have them on board.”
