Endemol Adds Brand Relations Role

 

Endemol has promoted Ingrid Akkerman to director of brand relations within its commercial affairs team as part of the company’s global expansion strategy.

Formerly senior manager of format distribution, Akkerman will work closely with Endemol’s commercial teams around the world to roll out local brand partnerships internationally and manage multi-territory deals while sharing ideas, innovation and best practices across the company’s worldwide network. 

Her remit will include sponsorship, product placement and brand integration across TV, mobile, social media and online content.

Akkerman’s appointment follows the reorganization of Endemol’s commercial business earlier this year, which has more closely aligned the company’s commercial and creative activities.

Since joining Endemol in 2002, Akkerman has played a central part in rolling out Endemol’s entertainment formats into major markets worldwide as well as securing brand partnerships and sponsorship for local productions.

She has an outstanding track record of leveraging global entertainment brands and I’m delighted she’s agreed to take on this role,” says Branco Scherer, executive director commercial affairs, Endemol.
