EA, NCAA Take a Time Out

EA Sports will not publish a 2015 version of its college football video game, and is uncertain about the future of the franchise after an ongoing dispute between the NCAA and student-athletes led to the NCAA withdrawing its support for the game.

“The ongoing legal issues combined with increased questions surrounding schools and conferences have left us in a difficult position–one that challenges our ability to deliver an authentic sports experience, which is the very foundation of EA Sports games,” said Cam Weber, general manager, American football, EA Sports, in a blog post on the Electronic Arts website.
