Disney Interactive’s new video game platform, Infinity, is set to launch at retail this Sunday.
The new platform integrates collectible figures of characters from The Walt Disney Company and Pixar Animation Studios with an immersive video game experience that allows the characters to come to life and interact together in a virtual toy box where players can build and customize their own unique virtual world using their favorite characters, vehicles, settings and accessories.
The game also includes a story-driven experience “play set” that allows players to solve puzzles, battle enemies and explore iconic locations from famous Disney properties.
At launch, the Disney Infinity line will include 18 collectible, interactive figures and 21 Power Discs, all of which can be used on Xbox 360, PlayStation3, iPad and Nintendo’s 3DS, Wii and Wii U systems.
Toys ‘R’ Us is celebrating the launch of the new gaming platform by opening one hour early on Sunday and offering an exclusive Crystal Series collectible assortment figures that that have enhanced in-game abilities, as well as exclusive Power Discs that unlock special in-game extras.
