Disney Adds to Paint Line

Disney Consumer Products, in collaboration with its partner Glidden, has released a series of new home paints and specialty finishes, available exclusively at Walmart in the U.S.

The paint line, which was launched two years ago, now includes three new color collections inspired by Disney stories, as well as five new specialty finishes.

"The Disney Paint line is a magical collection of 112 exclusive colors grouped into three palettes with imaginative Disney-themed names, designed to give parents and children options at every stage, from infant to tween," says Jason Stewart, director, softlines product development, DCP. "This makes decorating with your child easy and fun, no matter the age."

Among the new paint collections are Colors to Begin With inspired by Winnie the Pooh stories and designed to coordinate with the brand’s line of bedding; Colors with Character, six new palettes based on some of Disney’s most iconic characters including Mickey Mouse, Disney Princesses and Monsters University, also created to complement bedding collections; and Colors with Kick, a series of vibrant colors designed for tweens and teens.

The new finishes include All That Glitters, a glitter top coat for a pop of princess glam; Great Slate, chalkboard paints in a range of colors; Speck-Tacular, a top coat that provides a sparkling confetti finish; and Magnificent Metallic, a finish paint that can be mixed with 24 other colors in the collection to ad a metallic effect.

"Moms and dads can easily and affordably bring the world of Disney into their families' world by adding Disney Paint to the walls to achieve an exciting new look, or by adding a simple accent that sparkles, gleams, glows or turns walls into a chalkboard with one of the five new innovative and unique specialty finishes," says said Aimee Lawlor, director of innovation, PPG Architectural Coatings, the parent company of Glidden. "With Disney Paint, parents can transform their homes into places where their kids will love to play, sleep and most importantly, make memories."
