Cut the Rope Expands in Europe

 

ZeptoLab’s mobile gaming property “Cut the Rope” is gathering momentum in Europe with the addition of new agents and licensees.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment, which manages the brand’s European licensing, has appointed its newest sub-agent for Italy, Backstage Licensing. Backstage joins a team of seven sub-agents across Europe and the Middle East, covering the U.K., France, Germany, Benelux, Scandinavia, Spain, Central and Eastern Europe, Israel and now, Italy.

ITVS GE is collaborating with each sub-agent to build the program on a territory-by-territory basis, with close to 50 licensees already on board.

The brand’s newest game iteration, “Cut the Rope: Time Travel,” is now available for download.

ZeptoLab is supporting the new game with a 10 new webisodes in the “Om Nom Stories” animated series. The episodes will be in integrated into “Cut the Rope: Time Travel” and tie in to the theme of the game. A third season of the web-based kids’ series is scheduled to debut later this year.

ZeptoLab has also recently partnered with Sony Pictures Television to produce a live-action game show based on the brand.

Vivid’s Om Nom collectible toys are seeing great success in Europe, with product in other categories including apparel, gifting, publishing and games accessories set to roll out this year and next.
