Cartoon Network Enterprises has added four new partners to the soft lines program for its animated series “Adventure Time.”
First-time CNE partner, Fruit of the Loom has signed on to create kids’ underwear; Bentex/Dreamwave recently launched a line of adult swimwear and board shorts and plans to add kids line in spring 2014; Pan Oceanic has unveiled a new sunglasses range; and Xtreme Time introduced a line of watches for kids and adults. Products from all four new Adventure Time partners are set to hit shelves this spring.
A full roster of existing partners have renewed their partnerships as well, including Bioworld (t-shirts and fashion tops for boys and girls, as well as bags, headwear and accessories for adults and kids); Buckle Down (seatbelt-fashioned belts, keychains and suspenders); Changes (young men’s t-shirts, tops and accessories); High IntenCity (jewelry, hair and novelty items); Hot Properties (magnets and keychains); Mighty Fine (t-shirts, knit tops and fleece for junior’s and tweens); PS Brands/Planet Sox (hosiery for kids and adults); Underboss-Undergirl (junior’s and young men’s underwear, sleepwear and robes); Li & Fung (adults’ sleepwear and underwear); and Mad Dog (kids’ sleepwear).
“The response to our Adventure Time soft lines program to date has been tremendous, thanks to the great product assortment from our partners that capture the fun and unique tone of the Adventure Time world, its characters and sense of humor,” says Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products, CNE, North America. “We’re pleased not only to welcome these new partners to our roster that will extend the brand to new aisles, but also to deepen our relationship with existing partners as we continue to grow the brand and bolster its success throughout 2013 and beyond.”
