China Education Television, a division of the country’s Ministry of Education and the world’s largest educational TV network, has tapped Bill Teitelbaum to serve as its U.S. representative for educational media projects in China.
Plans include the development of multi-platform broadcasts, publishing and co-branded edutainment content in China.
Teitelbaum will work to develop partnerships between CETV and U.S. media firms, publishers and educational institutions interested in developing new media training in China.
“In partnering with China Education Television I want to help bring the best from the west to improve the lives of the Chinese people and at the same time introduce some of the gems of China side programming to U.S. audiences. I see this as a
wonderful opportunity for students on both sides to learn and grow together. It’s a win-win,” says Teitelbaum.
Teitelbaum has more than 20 years of experience in international education as a pioneer in live satellite teleconferencing and distance learning for U.S. universities. He has previously serviced as an executive vice president of licensing and merchandising with CBS and KingWorld and is a co-founder of Idea Force, which licensed, manufactured and marketed properties such as Power Rangers, X-Men and Spider-Man.
