Build-A-Bear Steps into Footwear

Plush toy brand expands lineup with inaugural range of children’s footwear.

Build-A-Bear Workshop has partnered with Esquire Footwear to launch its inaugural line of branded kids’ footwear products.

The new footwear collection will initially feature themed slippers, slipper socks and plush.

“With the help of Esquire Footwear, we are excited to introduce a fun, new footwear collection–the first of its kind for our brand–this fall,” says Jennifer Kretchmar, chief product officer, Build-A-Bear Workshop. “The reach of the Build-A-Bear brand continues to grow beyond the walls of retail stores, thanks to best-in-class partners like Esquire Footwear and the valuable resources they offer.”

The Build-A-Bear footwear range is scheduled to hit retailers this fall.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with a recognized global brand and children’s entertainment leader. It’s a brand which is loved and trusted by kids and their parents,” says Larry Paparo, president, Esquire Footwear. “Kids’ footwear is a new addition to the Build-A-Bear Workshop brand’s unique portfolio. We believe we have all the capabilities to make this creative partnership flourish.”
