Broadcasters Buy More Nick in Europe

 

A series of free-to-air networks in France, Italy and Spain have signed new deals and renewals for some of Nickelodeon’s top programming.

TF1 in France has signed new deals for season two of “Kung Fu Panda” and seasons three, four, five and seven as well as various specials of “Dora the Explorer.” The French broadcaster has also committed to season three of “Penguins of Madagascar.”

Italy’s national public broadcaster RAI is augmenting its Nickelodeon programming with new live action and animation deals. On behalf of RAI, agent Fly Distribution has signed for season three of “Victorious” and renewed for seasons one to three of “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”

Also in Italy, Super! (formerly STV) has picked up season one of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

In Spain, Atresmedia has signed for first seasons of two new series, “Robot & Monster” and “Legend of Korra,” as well as seasons five through nine of “Fairly Odd Parents” for Channel Neox’s Kidz Block.
