Alphanim has signed a roster of licensees for its upcoming CGI-animated TV series, “Calimero,” as the brand celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Created in 1963, the new series will bring the classic cartoon chicken to a new generation of children. The new series is set to premiere in France, Italy, Quebec and select European Union markets at the end of this year.
Partners for the new TV show include:
- Nicotoy, a subsidiary of the Simba Dickie Group, was named master plush partner and plans to unveil a range including stuffed characters, baby cuddle cloths and play mats soon;
- Androni Giocattoli has signed on for beach toys and accessories including buckets, beach packs and beach balls for the Western European Union, Scandinavia and Central and Eastern Europe;
- MLP is planning a line of apparel and accessories that will include daywear, nightwear, underwear, socks and swimwear for babies, kids and adults, in a deal brokered by Alphanim in partnership with its French agent TF1 Licences. The partnership covers France, Benelux, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; and
- Oysho, part of the Inditex Group, will continue offer its exclusive collection of Calimero apparel worldwide through 2013.
