American Greetings Properties is reinforcing its Strawberry Shortcake brand positioning in Brazil and Italy with the launch of branded seasonal chocolates.
The confectionery range will hit shelves this Christmas and in time for Easter 2014.
This Christmas, Italy’s Secondo Vergani will produce chocolates sold in Epiphany socks and Easter eggs for 2014, alongside a Strawberry Shortcake premium across all retail tiers. AGP’s licensing agent in Italy, CPLG Italy, secured the deal.
In a deal brokered by Exim Licensing Group, Nestle do Brasil will launch chocolate Easter eggs to be sold with a Strawberry Shortcake premium item across all retail channels beginning next year.
“This has been a solid year for Strawberry Shortcake across the globe,” says Carla Silva, senior vice president of global licensing, AGP. “These campaigns, during key holiday periods, reinforce the strong connection consumers have with the brand and continue to drive awareness as we re-launch the core toy line in 2014.”
