Cortina Leomil Group has partnered with the Rich Footwear Group to create a line of footwear featuring British boy band One Direction in the U.S. and Canada.
The deal was negotiated by One Direction’s worldwide merchandising agent, Global Merchandising Services.
Cortina launched the brand in Europe and South America earlier this year, with Rich Footwear planning to bring the line to retail in North America in fall 2014. The footwear will be targeted to tweens.
"You could not find a more tweeted about, shared or beloved pop group today than One Direction. The band's fans, known as ‘Directioners’ are passionate about all things One Direction, and we could not be more excited to be developing and launching a line of shoes to give Directioners one more thing to 'like,'" says Paul Shapiro, president, Rich Footwear Group.
